Argentina: Helping with Mobility and Independence
More than 50 wheelchairs and orthopedic devices were delivered to beneficiaries of the Catholic Institute for Lasallian Social Action organization in May 2025.
“The reason for this work is to follow the Savior’s example,” said Alberto Schaffha, a local leader of the Church of Jesus Christ. “Heavenly Father loves you and cares for you.”

Ghana: Children’s Library Receives New Books and Materials
On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, a special event celebrated a significant donation to the Mamprobi Gale Community Library. This branch is one of nine Kathy Knowles Community Libraries dedicated to serving children in Accra. The library received much-needed books, computers, and furniture, thanks in part to the efforts of the wives of the Africa West Area Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
“You are sowing knowledge, discipline, and life skills into young minds, and that harvest will bless generations,” said Olufunmilayo Ojediran, wife of Elder Adeyinka Ojediran. “It is with this spirit that we are honored to present this gift today. It may be small compared to the great work you do, but it comes from the heart of a Church that sees and values your efforts today.”

An orthotics and prosthetics laboratory, along with 200 pediatric wheelchairs, were delivered by the Church of Jesus Christ to the Teletón facilities in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Supplies to operate the lab for a year, as well as training sessions, were also donated.
“Jesus Christ said that whatever we do to the least of our brothers, we do to Him,” said Elder Patricio M. Giuffra of the Central America Area Presidency. “If we love humanity, we love our children.”
Fiji: Children Serve in the Community
Youth from several congregations in Fiji came together to serve in the community, taking inspiration from a “Friend to Friend” broadcast in February 2025. In Nawaka, 20 children picked up trash at a widow’s home. In Vuda, the children made breakfast for the widows in their church.
“The widowed ladies know they’re not forgotten,” said Elsie Gaunavinaka, a local Primary leader. “Someone is thinking of them, and they know they’re not alone — and it comes from these little ones.”
